Class showcases at In-Sight: Photo Club!
Photo Club is a class where students choose the photographic direction they want to explore. This class takes many forms depending on the participants, but we have been known to photograph events, create in-depth projects, become involved with the community, and more.
This session’s Photo Club will also be exploring the portfolio building process, as well as printing, framing, and matting their work.
Digital Photography:
Students will enter the expansive world of DSLR cameras and learn about the primary settings they can use to capture images. They will explore the art of composition, lighting, and noticing the details of the world around them. This class is perfect for any newcomers!
Q***r Focus:
Exploring how photography can be a way to express who we are, what we experience, and the stories we want to tell through the camera. We’ll make self-portraits, experiment with storytelling through images, and learn about Q***r photographers of the past and present. Through creative exercises and hands on projects, we’ll play with perspective, identity, and what it means to see and be seen!
The Shape of Movement:
This class is for the homeschool community. We will be exploring how to capture motion in a variety of settings. We will be freezing the action, capturing the flow of movement, and combining the still and the flow. Using digital cameras, lighting, and specific camera settings, students will learn to create amazing images.
Night Photography:
Discover how to create compelling photographs after the sun goes down! In this hands-on night photography class, you’ll learn how to work with low light, long exposures, astrophotography, light trails, and artificial lighting to capture scenes in a completely new way.
We’ll cover essential camera settings, focusing in the dark, using a tripod effectively, managing noise and motion, and finding interesting compositions at night.
