Join us the next First Friday on July 3rd from 5 - 8 pm for the exhibition opening:
Robert George – A Shared History
Our mutual love of town, its children and streets, its painters and builders; its small monuments and shifting light, its moments of rest and labor run through Robert F George photographs. He draws us in from the margins, toward places and faces we might otherwise overlook. His camera moves from curbside to canopy, delighting in unexpected compositions and offering quiet meditations on passing seasons.
For those connected to River Gallery School, Bob has been a steady presence. While artists turn inward to their work, he attends to the wider world, reminding us of the community that sustains us.
His images suggest that every artwork, whether still life or landscape, holds the qualities of a portrait. Together, his photographs and the life of RGS form a living record of place and time.
Bob is generously donating all proceeds to support River Gallery School’s 50th anniversary fundraising efforts. His work reminds us to look carefully, to notice one another, and to honor the quiet exchanges that shape our shared history.
The exhibition will run until August 31, 2026.
