We had a wickedly good time at our annual Chamber office Halloween party! 🎃

Organized by our Member Services Coordinator, Kristen Brusco, this year's theme was Disney Villains, bringing together a cast of characters ranging from classic favorites to modern-day mischief-makers.

We enjoyed great food, fellowship, and plenty of funny stories along the way. But there was one villain who truly stole the show! Congratulations to Valerie Lozano, our Public Policy and Administrative Coordinator, who swam away with this year's Best Costume award as Ursula! Her amazing costume left all the other "poor unfortunate souls" in her wake. 🐙

From our Chamber family to yours, we wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween! Enjoy time with family and friends, and please use extra caution on the roads tomorrow. Let's all do our part to keep the kids in our community safe while they enjoy their Halloween adventures!

🎃 For this week's , we're shining the spotlight on someone who believes Halloween season officially begins on July 5th. Meet Kristen Brusco!

If you know Kristen, you know she brings plenty of personality wherever she goes. Originally from New Jersey, she traded the Garden State for Manatee County in 2006 and has been happily calling it home ever since.

Now, about that Halloween obsession. Kristen LOVES all things spooky, scary, and downright terrifying. From Universal's Halloween Horror Nights to haunted houses and horror movies, she's always looking for her next good scare. And the scarier, the better! 👻

But there's more to Kristen than her love of Halloween. She's also a fan of Hip-Hop dance and has an enormous soft spot for animals. Her own crew includes two beloved rescues, Gulliver the cat and Layla the dog. Her goal in life is to help as many animals as she can, and she puts that passion into action as a board member for the Humane Society of Manatee County.

Fortunately for us, Kristen brings that same caring, outgoing energy to her role as our Member Services Coordinator. If you've attended Chamber 101 Member Orientation, you already know her! Whether she's explaining member benefits, helping a business get more from its Chamber investment, or simply making someone feel welcome, Kristen has a knack for making connections.

So, if you have a question about your Chamber benefits, Kristen is a great person to know. And if you want to get her talking, we suggest starting with Halloween, Hip-Hop, or rescue animals. Just don't be surprised if she starts planning next year's Halloween festivities before this year's are even over! 🎃

What else would you like to know about Kristen? Ask her in the comments!
