We're honored to announce the recipients of Heritage Community Transportation's 2026 Courtesy Card Program. This year, 12 nonprofit, educational, and public service organizations will receive rider cards to distribute to the individuals and families they serve. In partnership with these organizations, we'll help 1,000 individuals overcome transportation barriers and connect to the resources they need to thrive. It is our privilege to collaborate with organizations in Allegheny County that share our commitment to socioeconomic mobility. Congratulations to this year's recipients! Heritage Community Initiatives has had the privilege of serving tens of thousands of individuals across Allegheny County for 43 years. Today, as we celebrate our birthday and as a thank you to the individuals and families who place their trust in us every day, Heritage will offer:
• No parent fees for education families
• No charge for meals for children or seniors
• One week of rides at no charge on Heritage Community Transportation (HCT)

Learning doesn't stop when the school year ends—it just moves beyond the classroom!

Our Pirates students, part of our Heritage Out of School Time (HOST) program, recently spent the day at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh where hands-on exhibits -- including an awesome one centered around The Very Hungry Caterpillar -- transformed learning into an exciting experience. From exploring interactive displays to engaging in creative play, our students had a great day learning, while having tons of fun. Learning happens every day, everywhere.

Big congratulations to our recent graduates as they take the next step on their educational journey—kindergarten!

It has been a true privilege to watch these young learners grow, discover, and build the skills that will help them thrive in the classroom and beyond.
