We're a week out from two important events in our communities! On April 15 you can find Rich from NCDF discussing business financing at Beans and Things Cafe in Swissvale from 10am-noon. Then that evening find Grounded at Carnegie One for discussion of green space in North Braddock.

We just love Swissvale Dari Delite! Owner Chelsea Burket worked with Forged x Four Enterprise Zone as she was preparing the reopen the historic Dari Delite, and she liked us so much she decided to stick around and serve on the board. 😉

U.S. Rep. Summer Lee visited Braddock this week to announce a $3 million federal investment in affordable housing across Allegheny County. Rep. Lee was joined by Lt. Gov. Austin Davis and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato.

The funding was presented at the Avenue Apartments and will support efforts to acquire and revitalize apartment buildings, helping move residents from temporary shelters into stable homes while preserving long-term affordability.

Local leaders emphasized that with housing supply tight and rents rising, investments like this help ensure working families, seniors, and longtime residents can stay in the communities they call home.
