We have been monitoring ~3 miles of sandy beaches in South Florida for over 20 years, documenting new sea turtle nests, relocating nests, and monitoring nests during incubation. We act as educators to beach-goers and other members of the public who have a curiosity about the sea tur

Where sea turtle conservation meets special needs

Sea Turtle Adventures is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which focuses on conserving sea turtles and providing opportunities to adults with disabilities to volunteer and experience nature. We have been monitoring ~3 miles of sandy beaches in South Florida for 17 years, documenting new sea turtle nests, relocating nests, and monitoring nests during incubation. We act as educators to beach-goers and other members of the public who have a curiosity about the sea turtles who call our local oceans and beaches "home". We also have a volunteer program specifically designed for adults with disabilities. The group meets ~2 times a month to volunteer (activities include beach cleanups, preserve cleanups, events at local nature centers, educational movies, and creating crafts to sell).
