FIU Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs presents a special conversation with documentary photographer Woosler Delisfort, whose exhibition, SANCTUARY: Our Sacred Place, is on display at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex.
Delisfort will explore the spiritual traditions of Miami’s Indigenous, African and Caribbean communities and how they create sacred spaces as vital sources of culture, connection and life. He will be joined by Professor Michelle Grant-Murray and Dr. Albert Wuaku.
The event will also feature a performance by Grant-Murray and colleagues, music by DJ Mack and lunch.

Join us for a conversation with documentary photographer, Woosler Delisfort, whose show, SANCTUARY: Our Sacred Place is currently on display at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Mr. Delisfort will speak about this project, which delves into the spiritual origins of Miami’s Indigenous, African and Caribbean communities and highlights how these cultures are creating sacred spaces in Miami as vital sources of life. He will be joined by professors Michelle Grant-Murray (Miami Dade College, Olujimi Dance Collective, Florida Black Dance Artists Organization) and Dr. Albert Wuaku (FIU Department of Religious Studies).
