SANS (See a New Sun) was founded in 2002 by a group of concerned citizens bound by the shared tragedy of a loved one lost to su***de.

In 2019, our vision expanded. We have acknowledged that substance abuse and su***de have a strong relationship.

From sundown to sunup, they walked. ☀️

More than 18 miles through the night, these members of the See A New Sun Foundation Board joined the National Out of the Darkness Walk, spreading a message of hope, awareness, and support with every step.

Because sometimes you have to walk through the darkness to See A New Sun. 💛

A heart full of reasons why we walk. 💙

Luminaria play a meaningful role at The Overnight, honoring the people and personal stories that inspire us to walk.

Losing a loved one to su***de can leave feelings of grief, confusion, and isolation. The Littleton Survivor of Su***de Support Group, an entity of the See A New Sun Foundation (SANS), provides a safe and supportive space for those who have experienced this loss.

Facilitated by SANS Board Member Barbara Whitcomb, the group meets twice monthly to offer understanding, connection, and support from others who truly understand.
