Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Ukrainians affected by war. Together, we bring hope, healing, and practical help.

We feed 6,000 people every day and have provided permanent housing for nearly 4,000 displaced families. 501(C)(3) supporting the people of Ukraine to outlast their invaders.

🇺🇦 Today, on Ukraine’s Defenders Day, we want to tell you about one man.

His name is Alexander, and he is the father of Max, our Director of Hot Meal Centers in Ukraine.

For nearly five years, Alexander has served in Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

💙💛 Today, honor Alexander—and all of Ukraine’s defenders—with a $10 gift that provides 30 hot meals to the people they are fighting to protect.

The years have taken a toll. His back gives him trouble. He lives with constant pain in his leg. When he can, he gets treatment—but he doesn’t like to stay away for long.

Because his men are still there.

Max told us that the most important thing to his father is that the men under his care are safe. He doesn’t want to leave them.

And perhaps that tells us something about Max, too.

You don’t leave the people who are counting on you.

Alexander won’t leave his men.

And Max won’t leave his teams at our Hot Meal Centers without the food they need to keep cooking—because thousands of seniors and families are counting on them for a meal.

Different front lines. The same determination to care for the people beside you.

25 years ago today, we watched in horror as an aircraft flew into a building full of people.

We remember where we were. We remember the disbelief. We remember watching the screen and trying to understand how something like this could be happening.

We have never forgotten.

Today, families in Ukraine know the terror of looking into the sky and seeing an aircraft coming toward their homes. Russian drones strike apartment buildings, schools, hospitals and neighborhoods where ordinary people are simply trying to live.

Again and again.

September 11 reminds us of the lives that were taken, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who ran toward danger to help others.

It also reminds us how deeply human it is to want to feel safe in your own home.

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

And we stand with the people of Ukraine who are still living under attack. 🇺🇦

On International Day of Charity, we want to show you what your generosity has already made possible in Ukraine.

Together, we have served more than 7 million hot meals to people living through war. Every day, our Hot Meal Centers continue to feed thousands of seniors, families, children, and others who need help.

Moving into the Senior Community means more than receiving the keys to a new room.

For these women, it means knowing where they will sleep tonight—and tomorrow night. It means unpacking their belongings instead of wondering when they will have to move again. It means waking up surrounded by people who understand what it is like to have your life changed by war.

And slowly, a new routine begins.

Morning coffee in the kitchen. A conversation in the hallway. Someone to sit with at dinner. Familiar faces who notice when you’re having a difficult day.

War took away so much of what once felt certain. Here, these women are beginning to have some of that certainty again.

A room of their own. A community around them. And a place where they can finally stay.

💔 Today, To Ukraine With Love is mourning the loss of an extraordinary community leader, partner and friend.

Taras Tarasovych Didych, who had served as the head of the Dmytrivka Hromada since 1994, was killed following a Russian attack on his community.

After the attack, Taras Tarasovych went to help his people. A subsequent explosion took his life.

For years, our team in Ukraine worked closely alongside Taras Tarasovych. He was one of those rare local leaders for whom serving his community was deeply personal. He didn’t just know what his people needed — he knew the people themselves.

His involvement was instrumental in helping To Ukraine With Love develop and prepare for construction several communities for Ukrainian families displaced by the war. He deeply understood and supported our mission and shared our urgency to provide displaced families with stable, permanent homes. He had an extraordinary ability to bring people together, earn their trust, and remove obstacles — helping us move quickly for families who had already waited far too long for a place to call home.

His death is an enormous loss for his family, his community, and for all of us at To Ukraine With Love who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Taras Tarasovych spent more than three decades serving his community. In the end, he lost his life doing what he had done for so many years — going where his people needed him.

We are deeply grateful for the years we were able to work alongside him and for everything he did to help us provide permanent homes and new beginnings for families displaced by this war.

He leaves behind a legacy of selfless service, courage, and devotion to his people — a legacy we will always remember and an example we hope to carry forward in our own work.

In June, four women from war-torn cities across Ukraine moved into their new home at the Senior Community.

Each arrived carrying her own story of loss, displacement, and the stress of living through years of war. Now, they share a kitchen and living room—a place to cook together, talk, laugh, and begin building new friendships.

But just as important, each woman has a private bedroom of her own.

After so much uncertainty, there is comfort in having a door you can close. A quiet place to rest. To think. To recover from the stress of war. And a space that finally feels like your own.

Here, they can choose when they want company and when they need solitude.

They came as four single women from different places. Now, they are neighbors—and this is home. 🇺🇦💙💛

🎉 Happy Birthday to our wonderful Lyudmila Korovska! 💙💛

Today we celebrate someone whose story is deeply woven into the story of To Ukraine With Love.

Mila was one of the very first people to join our team—but we actually met her before she ever became our employee.

We met Mila when we were vetting her family for one of our housing programs. Her own home had been destroyed by the war, and she herself had experienced what it meant to suddenly become displaced and have to rebuild a life she never expected to lose.

And somewhere along the way, the person we first met because she needed help became one of the people helping us extend that same hope to thousands of others. ❤️

That lived experience is part of what makes Mila so extraordinary at what she does. When families apply for our housing programs, she doesn’t just see an application or a file. She understands the fear, uncertainty, loss, and hope behind it because she has lived it herself.

The compassion she extends to displaced families and the way she advocates for applicants who need someone to truly see and understand their circumstances continually inspires us. She never forgets that behind every decision we make is a real person whose entire life may have changed because of this war.

Over the years, Mila has become one of those people at To Ukraine With Love whom we can simply count on. Her fingerprints are everywhere—from our housing programs and Ridni Lyudi Senior Community, to navigating government processes, coordinating countless details, supporting our events, and stepping in wherever the team needs her.

She is smart, capable, incredibly hardworking, and a true team player. But perhaps what makes her most special is that she has never forgotten what it feels like to be on the other side of the help we provide.

Mila, your story reminds us why this organization exists. You came into our lives as someone we hoped to help, and you became someone who now helps us change the lives of so many others.

We are incredibly grateful that life brought you to To Ukraine With Love and that you chose to make this mission your own.

Today, we celebrate YOU—your strength, your enormous heart, your dedication, and the compassion you extend to people who are walking a road you know all too well.

Today we celebrate someone who has given so much of her heart, talent, time, and energy to To Ukraine With Love and to the people we serve.

Olena has been an extraordinary force behind our Ridni Lyudi Senior Community—helping create not simply a place for displaced seniors to live, but a true home where people who have experienced tremendous loss can find belonging, friendship, dignity, joy, and healing.

She has spent so much time away from her own family serving in Ukraine because, somewhere along the way, the residents of Ridni Lyudi became a second family to her. She knows their stories, their struggles and their joys—and she loves them deeply.

And when Olena is back in the U.S., she brings a little piece of Ukraine with her. ❤️🇺🇦

As the head chef behind our To Ukraine With Love galas, Olena is the talent behind so much of the incredible Ukrainian cuisine our guests experience. Through her food, people thousands of miles away get a taste of Ukraine—not only our traditional dishes, but our culture of hospitality, generosity, gathering around a table, and welcoming people with an open heart.

That is Olena. Whether she is creating a home for displaced seniors in Ukraine or creating a beautiful Ukrainian table for hundreds of guests in Utah, she has an extraordinary gift for bringing people together and making them feel cared for.

Her fingerprints are everywhere at To Ukraine With Love—in the programs she helps build, the celebrations she creates, the meals she prepares, the relationships she nurtures, and most importantly, in the culture of love and belonging she helps create wherever she goes.

Olena, we are so grateful for YOU. Thank you for your vision, creativity, tireless work, incredible talents, and especially for the enormous heart you bring to this mission.
