Join us for our upcoming webinar, Grief in the Shadows: Supporting Children and Teens after a Stigmatized Death.

While any type of death can leave families feeling isolated, some are met with more shame and stigma than others. Deaths from su***de, homicide, substance use, or certain illnesses may evoke disapproval or blame toward the person for how they died, distracting from who they were and how they lived. This webinar explores the unique challenges faced by children and teens who are grieving a stigmatized death. We will discuss the profound emotional complexities, including the guilt, blame, powerlessness, and fear, that can accompany these losses. Join us as we consider best practices for challenging stigma and providing meaningful support for children and families who are grieving a death that may be shrouded in silence and judgment.

We’re incredibly grateful to First Community Bank Utah for investing in Grandview For Good and helping us build our therapy room designed to support children and families who are grieving, healing from trauma, and navigating some of life’s hardest moments. 🩵

This grant will help us create a space where children can feel safe, connected, and free to process what they’ve been through. 🫶

Thank you, First Community Bank, for believing in this work and helping us make healing more accessible to the families who need it most! We are grateful for our ongoing partnership ✨

Grief doesn’t follow a script. 🤍

Some days might feel almost normal. Other days, the guilt, anger, exhaustion, or heaviness can hit without warning.

And despite what we’ve been taught, grief isn’t a neat journey through five stages. There’s no timeline. No right way to grieve. No point where you’re supposed to be “over it.”

Time may help you learn how to carry your grief, but it doesn’t erase the person, the loss, or the way it changed you. 🦋

Because grief can shift your identity, your relationships, your routines, and the way you see the world.

So let’s stop measuring grief by how quickly someone “moves on.”

Instead, let’s make more room for the day-to-day reality of carrying it.

If you’re grieving, you don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to keep showing up. 🫶

Today, we had the joy of partnering with | Apple Tree for a day centered around community, connection, and showing up for children + families. 🍎

We were honored to not only provide Feelings Kits filled with tools to help children understand and express their emotions, but also to lend a hand with the Apple Tree itself. 🫂

Supporting families goes beyond one program or one organization. It looks like rolling up our sleeves, sharing resources, creating spaces where kids feel supported, and coming together to strengthen our community. 💙

We’re so grateful to The Road Home for welcoming us in and for the work they do to support children and families. Partnerships like this remind us that when we show up together, we can create a little more support, a little more connection, and a whole lot more hope. 🌱❤️

This is what community care looks like.

🤍 1,800+ Feeling Kits have reached children and families.
🤍 Therapy scholarships have opened the door to healing.
🤍 Families navigating grief and trauma have found support.
🤍 Countless lives have been reminded they don’t have to do this alone.

This is why we keep going.

Every share. Every donation. Every volunteer. Every conversation about mental health creates a ripple that reaches farther than we may ever know.

If you believe everyone deserves access to hope and healing, help us reach the next family who needs it.
