💜 Thank you, Community Foundation Boulder County for awarding SPAN a Community Trust Grant to support the vital services survivors and their families rely on!

Safety looks like a 2 a.m. hotline call answered. A shelter bed for a mom, her kids, and their beloved pet. A counselor listening and helping someone find hope and begin healing. A support group. An advocate walking someone through a protection order. A classroom conversation about healthy relationships.

For more than four decades, SPAN has been a vital part of our community’s safety net. This support means that when someone reaches out for help, SPAN is there. 💜

🌟 National Night Out at San Juan del Centro! 🌟

SPAN was honored to be part of this amazing community gathering, celebrating National Night Out!, a police-community partnership focused on building connection, trust, and safer neighborhoods.

It was a fun evening filled with food, games, music, and meaningful conversations alongside the Boulder Police Department local leaders, and fellow community organizations. SPAN and other organizations were there to connect neighbors with resources and support, because we believe strong relationships and accessible resources help create safer, stronger communities.

Thank you to San Juan del Centro for inviting SPAN to be part of such a wonderful evening and to everyone who came out to connect, celebrate, and build community with us! 💜

✨ When we show up for one another, we help create brighter futures for everyone.

SPAN was honored to be invited to the Big Smile Fundraising Concert Big Smile Project “Walk in the Light,” at Roots Music Project.

This mission resonates deeply with SPAN. While our work is rooted in supporting survivors and families in our own community, we know how important access to resources, opportunity, safety, and support can be in helping individuals and families thrive.

Thanks for the invite, .chimanga.5

🫶 When your coworkers know exactly what you need.

Our Legal Team surprised our Shelter & Housing Team with the sweetest little pick-me-up! ✨ A whole spread of goodies, a little self-care, some fun desk treats, and the kindest note:

“Thank you for all the work you do to support survivors and each other. Please help yourself to some treats.”

Because supporting survivors is important work—and supporting each other matters, too.

Thank you, Legal Team, for spreading a little joy, kindness, and appreciation! 💕

🎒Thank you, Gwen Gaal, for organizing a backpack drive at Eaton Corporation's local office and showing up at our Outreach Center with 48 backpacks for children in families participating in SPAN's services.

Heading back to school can be stressful for any family. Thanks to your generosity, they will have one less thing to worry about.

We appreciate you, Gwen, and everyone at Eaton, for making back-to-school a little brighter for SPAN families! 💜

When someone discloses intimate partner violence during pregnancy, every response matters. 💜

We're proud to partner with the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) on this important initiative. Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative - CPCQC is helping labor and delivery teams respond with compassion and confidence.

At first glance, the Mile Long Table is exactly what it sounds like, a table stretching down the street where thousands of people gather to share a meal. But it's so much more than that. It's a reminder that when we intentionally make room for one another, conversation begins, relationships are formed, and community grows.

A heartfelt thank you to Tim Jones and for creating a movement that brings people together, one seat at a time. We are also incredibly grateful to Patty Breech and The Purpose Collective for inviting the SPAN team to be part of this inspiring evening.

The message behind the Mile Long Table deeply resonates with the work we do at SPAN. Every day, we meet individuals and families whose stories we don't yet know. We don't know where they've been or what they've survived, but we know they deserve a place where they are welcomed, heard, safe, and valued. Just like there is a seat for everyone at the Mile Long Table, there is always a place for survivors in our community.

Thank you to Muller from Southwest Airlines for sharing the evening with us and for Southwest Airlines' previous support of our Chocolate Lovers' Fling. We look forward to the opportunity to partner together again in the future.

And to Councilman Darrell Watson Darrell Watson for Denver) and all of the community leaders, neighbors, and new friends we met around the table, thank you for showing that community isn't built because we all have the same story. It's built because we're willing to listen to one another's stories.

Because regardless of our background, experiences, or walk of life, when we make space for one another, we create something powerful: commUNITY. 💜

We're proud to partner with the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) on this important initiative. 💜

Together, we've developed a trauma-informed, train-the-trainer curriculum that equips labor and delivery teams to recognize the signs of intimate partner violence, respond with empathy, and safely connect patients with local domestic violence resources.

Congratulations to the SPARK team on the successful pilot trainings at St. Anthony Summit Hospital and East Morgan County Hospital!

When healthcare providers have the tools and confidence to respond with compassion, survivors are more likely to receive the support they need - at one of the most critical moments in their lives.

Big news from the SPARK team! ✨

We officially launched our Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) training with highly successful pilot sessions at St. Anthony Summit and East Morgan County Hospital!

Thank you to everyone who joined us—the turnout and active engagement were incredible. Together, we’re taking crucial steps forward to strengthen support and care across Colorado.
