VISITING ARTIST WORKSHOP Oct. 23–25 glass artist Susan Taylor Glasgow brings her 3-Day Homemaking Gone Awry: Sewn Glass workshop, where students learn pattern making and advanced cutting skills while sewing glass components together to build a 3-dimensional house. A former dressmaker and seamstress, Glasgow applies that same eye for pattern and form to glass — cutting, kiln-firing, sandblasting, and sewing each panel into complex sculptural work.

All workshop participants are also invited to join us for an artist talk + Q&A at BMoCA on Thursday, Oct 22 from 6-7pm!

This is the final weekend of Open Studios Boulder’s Open Studios Tour! We’re Stop 51 on the tour, so come by 3750 Canfield Street in Boulder today and tomorrow from 12–5 PM to view the work of three of our studio managers: Akane Kleinkopf, Print Studio Manager; LauraBeth Konopinski, Glass Studio Manager; and John Minkler, Clay Studio Manager!

Renate Mairie (Renate Mairie), one of our long-time print instructors and board members, will also be opening her own studio for the tour at stop #34.

Introducing our brand-new multi-studio holiday crossover class! Over eight weeks, you’ll rotate through four of our studios, hand-crafting seasonal treasures to fill your home with holiday cheer. In Clay, you’ll learn hand-building and glazing. In Wood, you’ll make projects on the bandsaw and lathe. In Glass, you’ll explore fusing and flamework. And in Metal, you’ll finish up with some welding and a little blacksmithing.
Ho ho holy cow, that’s a lot of fun!

LAST CHANCE | This weekend, join printmaker, installation artist, and educator Marilee Salvator for a hands-on workshop. Explore experimental techniques like modular collaborative prints, chine collé installations, and alternative ways to layer, construct, and display your work.
