Discover the world of natural dyes in this hands-on workshop introducing you to the alchemy of plant dyes, ecological art & slow making. 🎨✨

We’ll cover the fundamentals of plant dyes, including the different types of fabric and how to prepare them for dyeing, how to create your own plant dye baths, and how to overdye and make color modifications. We’ll dye using common plants and foods local farmers grow.

10:00  - 10:15 Trailer Driving How To!
10:15 - 12:00 Individual practice: 10-15 min turns for driving with the trailer

Join us at Esoterraculinarygarden for our October potluck happening on Thursday the 1st! It’ll be an evening of delicious food, and connections with your local community.

At Esoterra, they cultivate just under 4 acres of permanent, no-till, biointensive vegetable beds devoted to perpetual successions of annual plants of culinary interest. These beds are surrounded by 3 acres of perennials with over 300 species grown for their edible leaves, shoots, roots, and fruits.

Bring something to share whether it’s a dish (homemade or store bought), a drink or a treat! Grab a free ticket if you’re bringing food or please contribute a donation to our food fund.

🌾 What does it take to build a stronger local grain economy? Join the Colorado Grain Chain and Flatirons Farmers Coalition for “Let’s Talk Grain: Building Local Grain Resilience.”

Join FFC and Colorado Grain Chain on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 3–5 p.m. at Dry Land Distillers in Longmont! Register at the link in our bio! 🌾

This panel brings together farmers and local grain enthusiasts to explore the challenges and opportunities of building a robust regional grain system — from funding sources like CGC Microgrants to the relationships, infrastructure, and investment needed for long-term viability. 

We’ll dig into key barriers (market access, equipment, space, existing contracts) and discuss how to plan for a resilient, adaptable future amid uncertainty  

Come early to mingle, stay for the panel discussion, and wrap up the afternoon with a happy hour. Small bites from local producers will be provided by Flatirons Farmers Coalition. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from Dry Land Distillers.

Take a break and relax after work to gather in connection with our community and share some delicious food ✨ Bring something to share, whether homegrown, homemade, or store bought - or if you’d rather contribute to our food fund when you RSVP you’re welcome to do that.

Do you love good food, good friends, and good books??? If YES you should join us on May 30 for our monthly FFC potluck and book swap!

We’re switching it up this month and will be meeting out in nature in N Boulder/Longmont area at the Beech Shelter. Come prepared to bask in the beautiful natural spring abundance and hopefully catch a delightful sunset 🥰

We encourage you to bring a dish or drinks to share (please label with dietary info and allergens), AND bring books that have been sitting on your shelf. Let someone else enjoy them and pick up new reads for summer đź“š
