Rocky Mountain Revels Boulder's Rocky Mountain Revels celebrates the seasons through song, dance, story, and traditions, creating community across generations and cultures.

There are a lot of Christmas shows every year. Revels is a little different. We celebrate traditional folk music, dance, and drama. We have audience participation, we have professionals and amateurs and children and adults and live music and costumes, and we are fun! We're also a Winter Solstice show. Where else could you go to see not just Christmas carols, but also mummers' plays, Morris dancing, choral and instrumental music, ancient ritualistic dances, folklore and storytelling, and poetry, all in one place? Revels recognizes the fascinating ways that people through the ages have connected with the seasons, and how they turned the cold and darkness into cause for celebrations which draw communities together. The Christmas Revels honors the way that Christmas traditions became part of and blended with these older traditions.
