Lynda Teller Pete, a 5th generation Navajo weaver, known for weaving in the traditional two grey hills pattern, will speak in the Paleo Hall at the CU Natural History Museum in Boulder.
HGB members are invited to attend this free talk, “The Enduring Beauty of Diné (Navajo) Weaving”, 5:30 on Thursday, September 17th. A reception will follow.

We're moving!
Success! Facilities Committee and the Board have found a great location to host our meetings, workshops, and library while Mountain View UMC's Barker Hall is undergoing renovations during the 2026-2028 Guild years.

We’ve been discussing our future meeting space for a while with upcoming construction slated to begin in spring of 2027, but updated construction timelines mean we will be moving in August 2026 which is just around the corner!

OUR FIRST MEETING WILL BE AT THE NEW LOCATION!

Huge thanks to Katy who taught Tunisian crochet this weekend. Several of us gathered and learned the basic stitches to get us started. We saw some different stitches that Katy had done on last projects and got a good foundation for our first projects.

Are you interested in attending Convergence® 2026 in New Orleans?
HGA is currently seeking volunteers to serve as Exhibit Chairs for our juried and invitational exhibits. In exchange for your service, Exhibit Chairs receive valuable conference benefits, including complimentary Convergence® admission and hotel reimbursement.

Exhibit Chair Benefits
Complimentary Convergence® Value Package (CVP) for both Convergence® 2026 and Convergence® 2028
Hotel reimbursement equal to 50% of the cost of a double/double room at the conference rate for up to seven nights
Admission to: Marketplace, Demonstrations, Panels, Art Exhibits, Keynote Presentation, Thread Talks, Fashion Show

What Does an Exhibit Chair Do?

Exhibit Chairs work with HGA staff and a team of volunteers to:
Install and de-install exhibit artwork
Ensure artwork is displayed according to artist instructions
Oversee artwork handling and condition reporting
Organize exhibit volunteers
Assist with packing artwork for return shipment
The Wearable Art Exhibit Chair will also work with the Fashion Show producer during model fittings.

Qualifications
Current HGA member
Available for a planning Zoom meeting prior to the conference
Available onsite August 10-11 for installation and August 16 for tear-down
Comfortable working with artwork and volunteers
This is a great opportunity to attend Convergence®, meet fellow fiber artists, and play an important role in presenting outstanding fiber art to attendees from around the world.
