Despite language and vision barriers, Peiyi demonstrated incredible determination, patience, and commitment to learning. Through hard work and perseverance, he successfully completed the program and proved he could safely and confidently operate a laptop.
The smile on his face when he received his certificate said it all, a moment that reflected the effort, courage, and dedication he put into this journey.
As a reward for his achievement, Peiyi earned a laptop along with 12 months of access to our learning platform so he can continue building his digital skills and stay connected on his learning journey.
Stories like this remind us that learning has no age, no limits, and no barriers when opportunity and determination come together.

A meaningful moment from today’s Digital Readiness Bootcamp at the Acton Housing Authority, where we delivered a lesson in Chinese to support participants in learning technology in their preferred language.
Digital literacy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, language, or background. Today reminded us that when we make learning inclusive, we empower entire communities.

Digital Readiness Bootcamp at Acton Housing Authority focused on computer basics, internet essentials, and online safety.

At the end of the session, all participants received a cybersecurity awareness tip sheet, a certificate of completion, and a laptop to take home, along with a one-year subscription to our ELEVATE Learning Management System.

Thank you to all the participants for their active engagement throughout the 4-hour session and for the valuable feedback and encouraging words. It was inspiring to see everyone’s enthusiasm and commitment to learning new digital skills. Looking forward to another successful session tomorrow!

Today, MACIR received a generous donation of nearly 200 tablets from Best Buy Health.
These devices will be refurbished and distributed to our Housing Authority partners across Massachusetts to support digital access and connectivity for residents.
We are deeply grateful to Best Buy Health for this contribution and for helping advance digital equity in our communities.
