We were excited to have 17 policy leaders join our inaugural Policy Breakfast at the Social Centers. These informal quarterly breakfasts, hosted by the East Boston Social Centers team, convene a small, diverse group of leaders who enjoy thinking about policy solutions to our shared challenges.

Brendan Fogarty kicked off this new initiative with a fantastic presentation about funding state-supported community centers to build belonging and connection. Thank you to our guests for a robust, thought-provoking conversation!

In a time of deep uncertainty and fear, we hope this forum will be a hopeful, action-oriented space to both consider policies that can contribute to a bright future and have fun engaging with inspiring ideas!

Tremendous gratitude for our panelists Madelaine Bustamante Cabrera, Jorge Acosta Escorcia, Samantha Green-Atchley, and Zayda Gonzalez, and keynote speaker, Shaleah C. McNeil-Tersilas, for sharing actionable steps for supporting ourselves and our loved ones. You reminded us that we all have the ability to heal. Grateful for every person who showed up.

We are so excited to announce OST News!

OST News has become a powerful addition to our program, giving youth a platform to develop real world skills in an engaging and meaningful way. Through creating and delivering content, participants are building confidence in public speaking, learning the fundamentals of video production and editing, and strengthening their ability to communicate effectively. Beyond technical skills, OST News is fostering a sense of self worth and pride, as students see their voices valued and their work shared with the broader community.

What a beautiful day celebrating the incredible mothers and women in our Active Adults program! 💐💛 From thoughtful gifts and a special lunch to laughter and time spent together, our Mother’s Day celebration was full of joy.

This year’s celebration was even more meaningful as we honored one of our beloved seniors on her 100th birthday! 🎉 Moments like these remind us of our mission to be with our community through every stage of life, from their very first birthday to their hundredth.

A special thank you to State Representative Adrian Madaro for joining the celebration and always showing our seniors such genuine care and support. It truly was a perfect day filled with connection, celebration, and unforgettable memories.

On May 17th, 2026, a fire on Princeton St displaced 38 people. We aren't asking for material donations at this time. We're focused on raising money to provide families with help and dignity as they navigate this tragedy. We are grateful for any amount you can spare.
