“Be Your Best” is for everyone to excel in what he or she does.

Creative thinking and problem-solving are essential parts of the design process to turn ideas into innovation and break the barriers against creativity.

One of the successful methods used in creative thinking is the SCAMPER technique.

While there are different creative thinking and problem-solving techniques such as reversed brainstorming, Hurson’s thinking model, the six hats of critical thinking and Lego Serious Play, SCAMPER is considered one of the easiest and most direct methods.

The SCAMPER technique is based very simply on the idea that what is new is actually a modification of existing old things around us.

“There is nothing new under the sun but there are lots of old things we don’t know.” – Ambrose Bierce

SCAMPER was first introduced by Bob Eberle to address targeted questions that help solve problems or ignite creativity during brainstorming meetings. The name SCAMPER is acronym for seven techniques;

(S) substitute,
(C) combine,
(A) adapt,
(M) modify,
(P) put to another use,
(E) eliminate and
(R) reverse.

These keywords represent the necessary questions addressed during the creative thinking meeting.

March 27, 20923 Boston, MA - Please join us in celebrating this important milestone of CT App Corporation, a member of East Boston Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity to network and learn about this business model to help improve the quality of life for residents of East Boston.

CT App Corporation is a digital transportation platform that provides services mostly to the Hispanic population in the East Boston area and its surroundings. Over time, CT App has gained great acceptance, demonstrating continuous growth in the operational area. This motivates them to create new strategies and partnerships that can generate impact to drive this great enterprise for the benefit of many people, including passengers and drivers who join the CT App family every day, and to continue providing inclusive and flexible employment opportunities for residents in the neighborhood.

CT App Corporation’s new business model will be introduced to the community in a public event that will take place on April 5th at 6:00 PM at East Boston Police Station Community Room on 300 East Eagle St. East Boston, MA 02128.

The Holiday Bazaar will be brimming with local makers, artisans, and local fooderies for all of your holiday needs. This special day will include music and dance performances throughout the event featuring Jorge Arce “Raiz de Plena” Puerto-Rican ensemble, Juan Carlos Ruiz, Beverly Richards Dance Center, VROCC performers include the little dancing stars; Children Music Ensemble, and adult Folklorico dancer, Caporales Universitarios de San Simón, Bolivia, Corazon Chileno, Peru dance ensemble, also featuring dancer Carol Flow, Skip the Dominican rapper, Ricki Erick, Hatian Singer and the DJ. Damien. Grace Martinez from Rumba 97.7 as the MC.

FREE TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE TO ICA WATERSHED

Round Trip pickup points every half hour between 1PM and 4PM.
The last round from ICA will be at 4:45 PM.

Social Center - Central Sq. (Between Meridian and Liberty Sq. Mall).
Maverick Station (EBNHC Clinic)
Orient Heights Station (Opposite the Senior Center)

Transportation vehicles will be provided by the EBNHC - PACE that are specially designed for seniors and people with disabilities (wheelchair), adults and youth.

IMPORTANT: These vehicles cannot transport babies and toddlers, because they do not have the system to properly secure them.
