This year, the BBDC was proud to help a family attend the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation's Conference (BDC). From learning more about comprehensive care to connecting with patients, families, HTCs, and advocacy organizations, the experience offered a new perspective on what it means to live well with a bleeding disorder.

As they shared:

“Most importantly, BDC gave both of us a strong sense of community.”

They left the conference feeling more knowledgeable, more prepared to participate in decisions about care, and more connected to the resources and people that make up the bleeding disorders community.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Dr. Nathan T. Connell, on being named the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation’s 2026 Physician of the Year at the Bleeding Disorders Conference!

An Individualized Health Care Plan can help make sure your child’s school understands their bleeding disorder, treatment needs, and what to do in an emergency.

As you prepare for the new school year, talk with your child’s care team about whether an IHCP may be helpful or required at their school.

We had a great time attending the New England Hemophilia Association Annual Golf Tournament! ⛳

It was wonderful to connect with members of the bleeding disorders community while supporting NEHA’s work to provide education, advocacy, resources, and opportunities for connection across New England.
