This week, we’ve supported multiple families navigating complications in the post-transplant journey. From assisting with the cost of travel for monthly rejection treatments in Boston, to groceries and essentials during unexpected setbacks, to meals for those exhausting immediate recovery days. We are reminded every day why Love from Lincoln was created. Why we keep going. Why we keep growing.

Life after transplant can look different than you imagined, life in general looks a bit different. But the hard days and the beautiful days can exist at the same time 💙

Thank you for helping us support these incredible children and families through every stage of their heart transplant journey.

Because of your support and encouragement, we’re able to do this and show up for these families when they need it most. Thank you for helping us make sure no family feels alone.

This week we welcomed two new🫀families into the Love from Lincoln family. Each family received a $1,000 grant mailed out today to help ease some of the unexpected costs that come with having a child waiting for a heart transplant like housing, travel, meals, bills, or whatever their family needs most right now💙

We also spent time brainstorming new ways to support our hospital families and fundraising ideas to help keep this mission going.

None of this would be possible without your support so thank you! If you’d like to help us bring hope to families during some of their hardest days, check out the link in our bio to make a donation or share our page!

Thank you for being here and helping us surround these incredible kids and families with love💙

This week is Pediatric Transplant Week 💙💚

It’s about the children fighting every day for their chance at life. It’s about the families who spend months sometimes years living inside hospital walls.
It’s about life after transplant… learning to live, while carrying fear for what the future may hold.
And it’s about the donors and their families who make all of this possible.

One person can save up to 8 lives ♥️

We hope by sharing our story you will see the impact of organ donation and will consider registering as an organ donor today at RegisterMe.org 💙💚

At Love From Lincoln, we support families throughout their entire hospital stay while they wait for their child’s 🫀transplant. Whether it’s through large financial grants, gift cards to Starbucks, DoorDash, Target, or Amazon, or more personalized gifts, our goal is to ease even a small part of their burden and try to brighten their day.

We want to make sure these families feel surrounded by love and give them a little hope on some of their hardest days.

And to everyone who showed up for us, lifted us, and loved us through our darkest days thank you. We never would have survived without all of the love and support we were given. You are the reason Love From Lincoln exists today, and the reason we are able to pass that love on to others.

We’re always looking for more ways to support our LFL families, continue spreading our mission, and find meaningful ways to fund this work. If you have ideas, connections, or ways to help, we would love to hear from you so please reach out 💙

Meet Shivay one of our heart warrior heroes and LFL families 💙

Thank you to Shivay’s mom for sharing their story and these photos!

“Shivay is an 8-year-old boy who loves animals, soccer, and art. He was born with heterotaxy syndrome a rare condition where the organs are arranged differently in the body. Because of this, Shivay was born with a very complex single ventricle heart. In his short eight years, he has already endured six open-heart surgeries. Now, his heart can no longer keep up, and he is waiting for a heart transplant.”

“During this long and emotional season of waiting, Love from Lincoln has wrapped our family in incredible support. They have created moments of joy in the middle of the hardest days. Most recently, they provided dinner every Friday night in February in honor of Heart Month. Those dinners became more than just a meal they were a warm space for families to gather, connect, and feel less alone.”

“To all the supporters of Love from Lincoln, thank you. Families waiting for a heart transplant, like ours, are truly blessed by you.”

Meet Marlee one of our beautiful heart warriors and LFL families🩷

Thank you to Marlee’s mom for sharing these photos and her story.

“Marlee is 9 years old and was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has bravely undergone all three open-heart surgeries — the Norwood, Glenn, and Fontan. After getting the flu last year, her heart function declined rapidly and severely. We tried to optimize her with medications, but ultimately made the difficult decision that it was time for a transplant.

Through it all, Marlee remains a happy, sassy girl who loves art, music, video games, and makeup. She brings a smile to everyone she meets and continues to shine so brightly.”

Please pray for Marlee as she waits for her miracle 🫀

Meet 5-year-old Jayden, one of our amazing Heart Month Heroes. 💙

Thank you to Jayden’s mother for sharing these photos and their story.

“I had a very healthy pregnancy, and our family was overjoyed to welcome him into the world. But on the second day after he was born, Jayden suffered a seizure. In that terrifying moment, our family thought they might lose him.

He was rushed to hospital where he stayed for nearly two months. After countless tests, doctors discovered he was born with a genetic condition affecting his stomach. That was the beginning of a journey filled with appointments and medications.

When Jayden was two years old, we received even more difficult news the same genetic condition had caused a very serious heart problem. He would need a heart transplant.

Ten months ago, we came to Boston Children’s Hospital. When we arrived, Jayden was very sick. Doctors implanted a Berlin Heart to help support him.

But God has been good. Our faith is that a donor will soon appear and everything will go well, in God’s name, so we can return home again.”

Today, we honor Jayden’s strength and his courage 💙 and pray his miracle heart will be here so soon! 🫀

Thank you to all of you that donate and support Love from Lincoln so we provide love and hope to families like this!
