This is the 2026 Bos/tréal (Boss-tree-all) cohort!

What is Bos/Treal? it's a week-long bike tour and fundraiser. The ride supports the Boston Cyclists Union's (BCU) vision of better biking in Boston by fostering a group of empowered activists through an annual, transformative bike ride from Boston to Montréal, Québec. The ride is an incredible 400 miles over five days (ranging from 55 - 100 miles/day).

Join the BCU in cheering them on and thanking them for their support so we can continue advocating for safer streets for all.

Vision Zero, or Zero Vision?

Yesterday 100+ activists packed Boston City Hall to demand accountability from the City.

Starting with a rally, leaders from the Boston Task Force spoke out alongside Council President Liz Breadon and Councilor Enrique Pepen .

At the hearing, called by a slate of Councilors, but headed by Councilors Sharon Durkan and Breadon, representative from the Mayor and Streets Cabinet stumbled through questions about funding and vision around streets projects.

What did we get? A promise of a mere 2.5 miles of bike lanes, just 100 speed humps, and lackluster platitudes around commitment.

Our city deserves better. Safe streets can't wait.

Safe Streets are not a niche.

A leaked City of Boston presentation uncovered recent polling, reported on by showing far higher support for bike lanes and the Blue Hill Ave Transportation Project.

The City doesn’t want us to see these numbers, so let’s show them ourselves!

Join the Boston Task Force (, Shared Spaces, BCU) for a rally before the crucial public hearing on street safety. We need to pack the room!

Last month, Councilors Durkan and Breadon called for two hearings after the bombshell Boston Globe report which uncovered that Mayor Wu was personally halting street safety projects.

The three dockets ( #0204, #0588, and #0589) will cover the results of the 30-day review from 2025, discussing the COBs transportation philosophy and the state of federal funds allocated to transportation projects.

🙏🏽 THANK YOU!

The Boston Neighborhood Bike Forum return was a success!

The Boston Neighborhood Bike Forum was an intentional effort to return to an event we first started over 8 years ago, connecting communities, uplifting BIPOC voices and starting essential conversations in the transportation world.

The Boston Neighborhood Bike Forum is meant to start conversations. This is certainly not the end of this work.

In the spirit of the original event in 2017, we plan on making this an annual part of the BCU’s programming. Every year we hope to make it bigger, more inclusive and more powerful.

We couldn’t have asked for a better return than what we got this Saturday.

Thank you to all the speakers from: &

Many streets projects are at risk of losing funding they secured because of Boston's freeze on streets projects.

‼️ This is at a crucial time when federal funding as a whole has become difficult to secure.

Blue Hill Ave alone has $168,000,000 in funding across all levels that's at risk if the project is scrapped.

Tell the Mayor we want to use, not lose this safe streets funding.

“Young people are not driving. Gen Z is not driving. We should be building a city for the future not for the past.”
- Councilor Sharon Durkan

Yesterday City Councilors Durkan, Breadon, Weber and Pepen spoke up against the Mayor's year long pause on safe streets projects.

They're calling for two hearings:
1️⃣ Transparency on Mayor's transportation philosophy
2️⃣ Funding details and deadlines for streets projects.

Neither have dates or times, but they are set to be scheduled soon. Once announced we want to flood these hearings with advocates!

The City has not released a Vision Zero report since May 31st of last year.

It's our time to speak out. Send a letter to the Mayor calling for a return to her safe streets priorities.

📣 The Boston Neighborhood Bike Forum is BACK!

Boston is majority BIPOC, but too often left out of decisions about our streets. BNBF centers our voices, our lived experience, and our solutions.

🚲🚶🏾‍♂️As biking and walking expand citywide, we’re talking about the real questions: What can I do to make sure my neighborhood isn’t left out?

Expect workshops, rides, advocacy training, community design sessions, multilingual outreach, compensated leadership, and childcare. We’re deepening connections, celebrating cycling culture led by people of color, challenging stereotypes about who rides, and building a clear plan for BIPOC-led advocacy in Boston.

This movement will be a launchpad for so much more.

Pull up. Bring your people. Let’s build streets and power that reflect us.
