This year, Metro Housing|Boston is proud to establish the Rev. Anne M. Rousseau Award for Mission & Service, a new annual honor recognizing a Metro Housing staff member whose service, leadership, compassion, and commitment exemplify the very best of our mission and values. Anne will be recognized as the inaugural recipient of the award at Champions of Housing 2026.
Named in her honor, the award celebrates Anne’s extraordinary dedication to Metro Housing and the lasting impact she has made on the people, colleagues, and communities we serve. As Chief Financial Officer at Metro Housing|Boston, Anne helps steward the resources, systems, and planning that make the organization’s mission possible. Her career with Metro Housing began in the late 1990s, and over the years she has served the organization in roles of increasing responsibility – from Senior Accountant to Director of Finance/Accounting Manager to her current role.
Anne’s service extends well beyond her professional role. She has contributed her time and leadership to civic, volunteer, and ministry efforts focused on housing, human rights, racial equity, public education, interfaith partnership, and democratic engagement. She is also an ordained Minister in the United Church of Christ and holds a Master of Divinity from Episcopal Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in Business Administration from Boston College.
