We had a wonderful evening last night celebrating our partnerships with property owners who help make housing stability possible in our communities.

We were honored to welcome State Representative Samantha Montaño as our keynote speaker and proud to recognize four outstanding property owners: William Than, Brenda Allerdt, Carli Maisano, and Phillip O’Dwyer.

We’re grateful to work alongside so many dedicated property owners who share our mission of providing housing stability and economic security for all.

As April comes to a close, we recognize our Fair Housing Department in honor of Fair Housing Month.

Metro Housing is committed to upholding the principles of fair housing laws and policies. As an organization that administers over 12,000 federal and state vouchers and provides RAFT assistance to more than 9,500 households each year, we regularly hear from participants who face discrimination in the housing market because they use a housing subsidy.

For the past 20 years, Metro Housing’s Fair Housing Project has served as a resource for participants experiencing discrimination based on their membership in one or more protected classes.

Through partnerships with EOHLC’s Office of Fair Housing and the Fair Housing Alliance of Massachusetts (FHAM), Metro Housing’s Fair Housing Project works to end voucher-based and other forms of housing discrimination through advocacy, education, and legal services.
