This week's Chamber Member Spotlight is Creative Cousins Photography & Design! 🎉

What began as a creative passion between two cousins has now blossomed into one of Boone's trusted photography businesses. Creative Cousins Photography was founded in 2007 after owner, Courtney Davidson, welcomed her oldest daughter, Mady. Inspired by a desire to capture beautiful memories of their growing families, Courtney and her cousin turned their shared love of photography into a full-time business. While Courtney now runs the business on her own, the name Creative Cousins Photography remains a tribute to the family members whose creativity continues to inspire her.

Today, Creative Cousins Photography offers a wide variety of photography services, including family, baby, child, senior, and occasional wedding sessions. Courtney also specializes in professional headshots, branding photography, and real estate photography. Sports fans may recognize her work as the official photographer for Boone Community School District athletics, capturing memorable moments for students in grades 7–12.

For Courtney, the best part of photography is that no two days are the same. She enjoys every type of session and has loved watching her business evolve over the years. One thing, however, has never changed—her dedication to every client and every image she captures.

"I truly pour my heart and soul into my photos. I look at every single photo I take and love the photos as if they were my own children. I love showing others the joy in every life moment through a photo that's captured. It's not about the perfect moment—it's about preserving a beautiful memory forever. Our kids grow way too fast not to document the journey."

4 Days Left to drop off those Supply Donations at the Chamber❗School Supply Drive to support our Boone County Schools ends Monday, August 31st 🍎Chamber Hours Wednesday & Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm, and Monday 1:00pm - 4:00pm ⏰

The Boone County Chamber, in collaboration with our Chamber Businesses, treated 43 New Teachers & Administrators to breakfast on Friday, August 14th! 🥞Thanks to our event Sponsors, we were able to raise over $3,800 for New Teachers, surpassing our $3,000 goal! 👏

In addition to these monetary funds, the Boone County Chamber is collecting school supply donations. We have extended the deadline of our School Supply Drive 🎒 to Monday, August 31st. If you would like to participate, please drop off your donations to the Boone County Chamber anytime during business hours: Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm. 🕙

COATS DOWNTOWN RIBBON CUTTING ✂️

Today we welcomed a New Business to Boone—Keng Art Studio 🎨 Scott Keng is the owner and artist behind this new creative space in Downtown Boone.

Holly Stecker with Downtown Boone and Mayor Dave Casotti joined the Red Coats & Chamber Team in the celebration 🎉

Keng stated that “The Studio was built with a simple dream, to create a place where everyone feels welcome, creativity is celebrated, and every visitor leaves inspired.” ✨In addition for a space for Keng to create his Art, he plans to utilize the Studio for Art Classes starting next month 🖌️
