There is no greater reward as an educator than watching your students walk across the graduation stage. Today, these seniors transition from our classroom community into their next chapters as future-minded, determined young professionals. Throughout their time in the iJAG, they have proven themselves to be overcomers who can navigate difficult obstacles and achieve hard things. They are officially READY for college, careers, and leadership. Congratulations, graduates.

Community is everything❤️

Our students recently saw a need to connect with residents at our local nursing home and jumped into action. The result? Handcrafted ‘May Day’ baskets to brighten our neighbors' day.

Thanks to incredible community donations, our students filled these baskets with puzzles, snacks, and a whole lot of heart. They even had extras, which they hand-delivered to patients in the swing unit at Boone County Hospital.

Watching them take an idea from a classroom brainstorm to a finished product is the ultimate "proud " moment.

There is truly nothing better than getting to watch my interns do what they love! 🦝
Tyson is currently working on his final taxidermy project under the expert direction of Taxidermy@Blackwolf, and I couldn’t be more excited to see the finished product. Over the past eight months, he has gained an incredible amount of technical skill and industry knowledge through this experience.
A huge thank you to our local partners who open their doors and share their expertise. Seeing students find their passion "in the wild" is what makes this work so rewarding!

Boone County Auditor Diane Patrick visited BHS to speak with our iJAG students about voter registration, election procedures, and her role in local government. Students even had the opportunity to fill out a sample ballot, cast it in the machine, and experience how the digital voting process works firsthand.
