Berges Fest German Heritage Festival in Boerne TX from 1967 to 2021. It doesn’t have to be October for people to gather and celebrate German culture in Boerne!

The Boerne Berges Fest proves that! Historically, a 3-day family friendly German heritage festival on Father’s Day weekend, the Boerne Berges Festival is one of the City of Boerne’s biggest festivals. Attracting people from all over Texas, the Boerne Berges Fest boasts music from one of Texas’s best German folk bands, Parade, dachshund races, carnival rides for people of all ages, and much much more! What’s more, general admission for the Boerne Berges Festival is FREE and everyone is invited to attend.

Throwback to the Lampasas Spring Ho Festival of 2017. The court decided to return the favor and appear in the Lampasas Spring Ho Parade since they made the journey to be in the Berges Fest parade that year. We had never been and expected it to be like any other parade.... were we wrong! It was one of the most fun and entertaining parades we had ever been to. We were not prepared for a parade route long water gun and balloon fight. In 100 degree weather this was so awesome. Most floats we could see, including the fire trucks, were spraying the crowd with water and the crowd in retuend woudl fight back.

Once the parents realized our court was dressed in their standard German attire they had to restrain the kids from soaking the girls. The girls so wanted to participate but were not prepared so could only observe and chuckle the entire route.

I encourage any court to make the journey and be prepared for the fun and dress accordingly. Das Festival of Kendall
