If you were out on River Road recently, you might’ve noticed a small blue box near the water.

A few months back, a local student angler Re*****on Stewart installed two “Take a Hook, Share a Hook” fishing libraries as part of his Eagle Scout project.

The idea is simple: need a hook or lure? Take one. Have extra? Leave one. It’s all about making fishing more accessible and sharing the love of being out on the water.

The project was supported by the Bass Club of Champions and helped by local volunteers and Scouts — a great example of young leadership making a real impact right here in Boerne.

Next time you’re at River Road Park, take a look. Pretty cool addition to the trail.
