🟣 June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month.

At The Center, protecting older adults means more than providing activities and meals-it means helping our community stay informed, empowered, and safe.

Last week, we were grateful to welcome Sage Care Management for an important presentation on "Protecting Your Nest Egg: Spotting Modern Scams." Members learned how to recognize common fraud tactics, protect personal information, and avoid scams that increasingly target older adults.

Knowledge is one of the strongest tools we have in preventing financial exploitation and elder abuse.

Thank you to Sage Care Management for sharing valuable information and helping our members stay one step ahead of scammers.

Together, we can create a community where older adults are respected, protected, and supported. 💚

Forget rocking chairs.... we prefer paint brushes and making memories! 🎨

Our members recently enjoyed a fun-filled outing to The Downtown DIY, where they gathered for fellowship, laughter, and an evening sunset paint & sip. From sharing stories around the table to bringing their artistic visions to life, these moments remind us that staying active isn't just about fitness - it's about continuing to learn, create and build meaningful friendships.

At The Center, our members prove every day that life's best chapters are still being written. 💚

💚 THANK YOU, GVTC FOUNDATION! 💚

We are incredibly honored and grateful to have received a generous gift from the GVTC Foundation.

This funding plays a vital role in advancing our mission to enrich the quality of life for older adults through programs that empower people to live well, stay connected, and thrive as they age.

The GVTC Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life across the 11 rural counties it serves. Through grant funding, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships, the Foundation helps create innovative solutions that strengthen and uplift our communities.

We are deeply thankful for their investment in our work and the older adults we serve. Together, we are making a meaningful difference. 🙌
