The countdown is officially underway for one of South Florida’s premier sporting events. The 13th Annual Boca Raton Bowl returns to Flagler Credit Union Stadium on the campus of Florida Atlantic University with great football action and fan fest fun on Friday, December 18!

Welcome to the Spirit of Giving Board of Directors, Mike Sandmaier!

We're excited to welcome Mike, a Credit Portfolio Manager with TD Bank, who brings extensive experience in commercial banking, financial analysis, risk management, governance, and strategic planning.

When asked why he wanted to join the board, Mike shared:
"I've always wanted to get more involved in my community, and joining the Spirit of Giving board felt like the perfect way. Their work connecting people and resources to help local nonprofits and families inspired me to be part of the difference they make."

Huge congratulations to Emanuel Dupree Jackson Jr. "Dupree"on being named the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Award from the National Education Association (NEA)!

As the founder of The EJS Project and a valued Spirit of Giving member, Dupree continues to make an incredible impact on youth and families throughout our community through mentorship, education, leadership development, advocacy, and opportunity. This national recognition is a testament to his unwavering commitment to empowering young people and creating lasting change.

Through the founding of his Emanuel Jackson Senior (EJS) Project, Dupree has made hands-on advocacy for youth in his hometown of Delray Beach, Florida, his life’s mission.

We are thrilled to welcome Alana St. John back to Spirit of Giving as our new Director of Advancement & Community Partnerships!

Alana returns after spending more than six years helping grow Spirit of Giving’s mission and impact, and most recently two years at one of our member organizations, Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services .

At JFS, Alana played a key role in strengthening community partnerships, expanding engagement, that support individuals and families through programs such as mental health services, food assistance, senior programs, and financial support throughout South Palm Beach County.

Her passion for collaboration, relationship building, and nonprofit leadership has only grown stronger through this experience, and we are excited for her to bring that knowledge, heart, and dedication back to our community.

Please join us in welcoming Alana home as she begins this exciting next chapter!
