Community engagement can happen in the simplest ways. A walk around the mall, browsing through a store, or saying “hello” and “please” during everyday interactions may seem small, but these moments help our individuals feel connected to the people and places around them. They create opportunities to build confidence and feel a sense of belonging in their community. Everyone deserves the chance to get out, explore, and go about their day in a way that feels meaningful to them. Can you imagine never being able to leave the house or go about your day the way you want to? These everyday opportunities matter, and at Delta, we believe everyone deserves them. 🧩💚

Alright, alright, this will be the last one for real this time. We couldn't leave New Jersey out of the Halloween fun! Our NJ team had to get in on the festivities, too! Looks like the Halloween spirit made its way across the state, and we’re here for it. We had to make sure NJ got its moment in the spotlight! 🎃💚👻

We had such a fun time celebrating Halloween at our party last Friday! Everyone came dressed up and ready to enjoy a day full of Halloween spirit. Our trunk or treat brought plenty of excitement, and the festive snacks, music, and dancing kept the smiles going all afternoon. It was wonderful seeing everyone come together, enjoy the festivities, and make some great memories. We hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween weekend! How did you celebrate Halloween this year? Everyone expresses themselves differently, and every form of communication deserves to be understood. Stimming and other forms of expression can help our individuals communicate their needs, process emotions, and navigate the world around them. Even when someone expresses themselves differently than a neurotypical person might, their feelings are just as real and important. It's our responsibility to take the time to understand what someone is communicating rather than expecting everyone to express themselves the same way. At Delta, we believe every individual deserves to have their voice heard, their feelings respected, and their needs understood. 🧩💚

Bob recently visited the DaVinci Science Center for a fun day of exploring and learning. Experiences like these are a great part of Lifesharing, where individuals can try new things, enjoy their interests, and build meaningful relationships with the people they share their lives with. Our Delta Day Program celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a walk around the program, and everyone dressed in pink to show their support! At Delta, we believe in the importance of raising awareness, supporting women, and encouraging everyone to take care of their health. It was a great way to come together for an important cause while spreading a little extra love and positivity. 🧩💚🩷

One of our Lifesharing pairs enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch, where they got to take a hayride and a walk through the corn maze!
