Feeling stuck? Like you're just going through the motions but not really living?

Depression can make everything feel gray and disconnected—but there's a path forward.

At Kindle Hill Foundation, young adults are finding something that talk therapy alone couldn't give them: authentic connection with horses who see the real you beneath the depression.

Our Equine Assisted Therapy combines licensed mental health professionals with the honest feedback of horses. They don't care about your social media, your grades, or your past—they respond to your genuine self, helping you rediscover the motivation and energy you thought you'd lost.

You deserve to feel like yourself again.
Our horses are ready to help you get there.

Today is National First Responder Day, and we want to thank the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and EMS personnel in our community!

First responders carry a weight most of us never see. That's why Kindle Hill Foundation created an equine-assisted therapy program designed specifically for them.

Horses understand hypervigilance, and this resonates deeply with people who are trained to stay alert.
Through guided experiences with horses, First Responders learn to effectively manage their nervous systems, recover from stresses, and focus on their own mental health needs.

If you know a first responder who could benefit from additional mental health support, or would like to learn more, we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you for everything you do.

This October 28, we're honoring the first responders who show up for all of us.
Our Equine Assisted Therapy program for First Responders gives them a place to set the weight down, even for a moment.
No report needed.
No explanation required.
Just a horse, and space to be honest.

Watch to hear from officers in our program, in their own words.
If you or someone you know could use this, reach out. We're here.

Why horses are the greatest healers.

Horses are authentic and can help us discover our better selves in a real-time experience.
Horses excel in teaching us how to be present and connect through different modes of communication. They also provide instant feedback on our interactions with them.

Even though many people have never had the opportunity to interact with a horse, when they start to engage with them, they begin to relax, feel safe, and realize they are in a genuinely non-judgmental environment, allowing their journey toward healing to begin.

Our Equine-Assisted Learning provides the tools to learn and develop leadership empathy, negotiation, partnering, and nuanced nonverbal communication skills.

Our Equine-Assisted Therapy is facilitated with a licensed therapist, which can be supplemental or additive to traditional therapeutic methods, and can be easily integrated into a client's treatment program.

Our First Responder Equine-Assisted Training focuses on the two critical goals of developing advanced de-escalation, negotiation, and partnering skills, as well as techniques for managing stress, anxiety, and other demands of the first responder culture.
Kindle Hill Foundation is the only facility in the country which offers Equine-Assisted Training for Law Enforcement.

Why horses?
A horse will never tell you what you want to hear.
They respond to who you really are including your energy, your emotions, your body language and all in real time.

When you approach with anxiety, they sense it.
When you find genuine calm, they respond with trust. That honest feedback helps people of all ages understand themselves in ways words alone can't reach.

At Kindle Hill Foundation, our horses are more than therapy animals... they're partners, teachers, and the beating heart of everything we do.
Whether you're a child navigating big emotions, a teen under pressure, an adult facing burnout, or a family learning to communicate again, our horses and licensed therapists are ready to walk alongside you.
No horse experience necessary. All ages welcome.
