I already purchased my tickets to FIRST DATE: The Musical at the Act II Playhouse for June 9, 2027. Only on June 9th, 2027, the theater will be donating a portion of ticket sales to the Literacy Network! The play sounds like fun. The theater is small and already many tickets have been purchased. Get your tickets now to enjoy the show. I'm going with my adult daughter! Can't wait. Doesn't this sound like an enjoyable show?

🧡 WEEK WITHOUT VIOLENCE 2026: RISING TOGETHER 🧡

This October, YWCA Tri-County Area invites our community to join us for a week of events centered around this year’s theme: Rising Together: Centering Youth Voices to End Gender-Based Violence.

There are plenty of ways to get involved throughout the week! 👇

⚖️ Monday, October 19 | 5–6 PM**
Start the week with our Expungement Clinic, in partnership with the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, to learn about eligibility for clearing prior arrests or convictions from your public record.

💜 Tuesday, October 20 | 2:30–4:30 PM
Connect with The Women’s Center of Montgomery County for resource navigation, advocacy, counseling, safety planning, and other resources for those impacted by domestic violence and abuse.

🧡 Wednesday, October 21 | 6–8 PM*
Bring the family to Mission Kids: Protect & Play, a family safety night featuring age-appropriate body and digital safety activities for children and practical tools and education for parents and caregivers.

🎉 Saturday, October 24 | 11 AM–3 PM
Then, we’re bringing it all together at our annual Week Without Violence Block Party! Join us for giveaways, food, raffles, games, resources, art stations, and a day of community connection.

📍 Events will take place at YW3CA locations throughout Pottstown.

Join us as we rise together for safer families, empowered youth, and a community without violence. 🧡

National Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Week is
September 14-18 so now is the time to think about how you can celebrate your learners, staff, and volunteers. This week is an opportunity for the nationwide adult education community to engage their local communities and share the power of adult ed to transform lives. More info at National Coalition for Literacy. Check our website for information about our service agencies and volunteers, working to assist our Montgomery County Residents.

Montgomery County Literacy Network connects people who need literacy help with organizations that provide literacy assistance: High School Equivalency Diploma or GED; English as a Second Language or ESL/ELL; Help adults get better jobs, become better parents, achieve more goals.
