It’s grounded in listening closely to the people we support, understanding what matters most to them, and using those insights to strengthen supports and improve outcomes. Through POM, we continue to deepen our commitment to learning, growing, and delivering services that truly reflect each individual’s goals and choices.

We had such a meaningful weekend at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod (SEPA), ELCA Assembly, where clergy and community members from across the region came together to learn, worship, and connect. This year’s theme, Imago Dei “image of God” reminds us that every person is valued, worthy, and loved just as they are. ❤️

KenCrest was proud to be part of this event, sharing more about our programs like SWIFT, Meaningful Day, Children’s Transitional Homes, and more. We were also grateful to have Stephanie Brown join us to highlight Lifesharing — and the ongoing need for compassionate host families in our community. A special thank you to Deacon Ali Clark, Stephanie Brown, and Russ Stewart for representing KenCrest and helping us share our mission to honor the Imago Dei in all. ✨

Happy 71st birthday, Cathy! 🎉💛 Cathy celebrated her special day with her Lifesharing Specialist, starting off with coffee and donuts, running a few errands, and wrapping up with a fun lunch at Chick-fil-A. It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and the simple moments that make Lifesharing so meaningful 🥰

From parent to Program Director — Shirley Gilcrest’s journey is a true Head Start success story 💙 After enrolling her son in Head Start in 1992, Shirley saw firsthand how the program helps children grow into confident, independent individuals. Inspired, she began volunteering — and never looked back.

We had a great visit with Senator Art Haywood at one of our KenCrest residential locations! The conversation jumped right into some of the topics that matter most right now — like the DSP workforce: recruitment and retention, early intervention, and what’s ahead with the state budget.

One thing that really stood out — Sen. Haywood shared how much personal stories resonate. We couldn’t agree more, and we’re looking forward to sharing a few powerful stories that bring this work to life. We’re grateful for the time and conversation, and we look forward to continuing to build this relationship and serving as a resource moving forward. 💚

Music time 🎶 Our Early Learning Center was full of energy as the children explored sound, rhythm, and movement! From making their own music to dancing along, it was an afternoon of creativity, curiosity, and lots of fun.
