Tonight was the first of two H4H, Inc. sponsored Crunchlabs workshops at a library! The kids built a “boomerang car” and learned about gears. H4H Director, Tara Nooyen, learned that gears moving slower can do heavier work, while faster moving gears can only do lighter work. She also learned that it’s important to read the directions when building things. The kids did amazing! It was so fun to see their cars switching directions and learning that tiny adjustments affect the distance the car can go. (Pictures taken with the permission of the parents and guardians).
