The Central Columbia Football program hosted a fundraiser to raise money for the football program this afternoon and we raised over $6,000 in just one hour!

Our boys sent text messages and more importantly used their communication skills by cold calling their contacts.

The money raised will be used for a team camp at Lebanon Valley College and also for the future of our program for all grades from 7-12!

The boys and I appreciate the community’s generosity and support we have received thus far.

We are one big Family.

Central Columbia Football Alumni continuing to do great things as Huskies!

🏈Serving Those Who Served: Bloomsburg Football Volunteers at Local Veterans Events

Bloomsburg, Pa. - Members of the Bloomsburg football team continued their commitment to community service by volunteering alongside the Bloomsburg American Legion at multiple events this past week.

The Huskies partnered with the Bloomsburg American Legion and the Bloomsburg Elks to assist with the annual Veteran's Fishing Derby, helping disabled veterans throughout the event on Saturday. Players assisted disabled veterans by helping them to and from the water while also helping to bait the hooks of those who needed assistance.

Thursday saw the Huskies work throughout the morning to set up the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. The team worked closely with many local veterans to put the replica of the Washington D.C monument on display for the town this weekend.

Deon Henry Sr., the Huskies' defensive coordinator and a U.S. Navy Veteran, believes opportunities like these help the team become more than just athletes. "As a fourth-generation military veteran with a son currently serving in the United States Air Force, I know that true service means sacrificing and serving unselfishly for something greater than yourself.," said Henry. "Knowing that Bloomsburg football players are choosing to volunteer their time to support our veterans is powerful beyond words. These young men are not just building themselves into athletes; they are becoming leaders, role models, and men of character. Their willingness to serve unselfishly alongside those who defended this nation speaks volumes about who they are and the values they represent."

The volunteer efforts are part of Bloomsburg Athletics' ongoing commitment to community engagement, providing student-athletes opportunities to serve others while developing as leaders both on and off the field.
