St. Luke's Christian Preschool

St. Luke's Christian Preschool Our philosophy enables each child to gain self-esteem, confidence, skills, independence and self-discipline while having fun learning.

Our preschool is licensed to serve 20 children per class with a staff/child ratio of 1:10. Our staff is certified in early childhood education by the Department of Human Services. Teachers are able to give attention to each individual child and to encourage him/her to develop responsibility, to learn to think and act independently, and to be considerate of others. Conferences with parents are scheduled twice yearly.

Not only did we survive, we thrived! Amazing first day at St Luke’s! Are we tired? YES…but we are filled with joy that we get to do this job.

We are working on learning so many things at school…how to take care of our things, how to wash our hands, how to play and clean up, how to walk in a line…but the most important things are learning our friends’ names and creating a loving, kind community where all know they belong. We are on our way! Can’t wait for day 2!

Supplies and toys organized well, you can bet.
The room is labeled and cleaned up with care,
While excitement bubbles, waiting for kids to be there.

Can not wait to see you all! Enjoy the book and get some rest! Tomorrow will be busy.

We want confident, encouraging students, so we are constantly reminding them that they are kind, readers, scientists, artists, helpers, builders, etc. We help them see their abilities and then we get to experience moments like this .

Kids who believe they are capable of doing hard things. Kids who say kind, supportive things Kids who will pick up a book and know they can share a story. The actual reading will come. Right now this is exactly what I want to see from my preschoolers. ♥️📚
