2026 Emerging Artist Semi-Finalist
Yujin Zeng is a soprano pursuing an Artist Diploma at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She recently covered Odette Kahn in the world premiere of Jake Heggie’s The Judgment of Paris with Festival Napa Valley.

Her recent roles include Micaëla in Carmen, Violetta in La Traviata, and Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor with Regina Opera, and Juliette in Roméo et Juliette with Utah Valley Operafest. She has also performed Musetta in La Bohème and Adina in Lelisir d’amore.

She holds a Master of Music from Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Arts from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music.

2026 University/College Semi-Finalist
Maryn West is a young soprano from Houston, Texas. Maryn was recently awarded second place in the San Antonio Tuesday Musical Club Competition in Voice. She is a past finalist in the
Schmidt Undergraduate V ocal Competition and the Mobile Opera Madame Rose Palmai-Tenser Voice Scholarship Competition. Maryn was a semi-finalist in the James Toland Vocal Arts Competition and the MiOpera International V ocal Competition University Division. An enthusiastic enjoyer of sacred music, Maryn has performed as the soprano soloist in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Faure’s Requiem in D minor and Vivaldi and Bach’s Magnificats. Recent operatic roles include Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Littler Zegner Daughter (Proving Up) with UNT Opera, Frasquita (Carmen) with Opera Arlington, Monica (The Medium) with Chicago Summer Opera, and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at Varna International Music Academy. Upcoming
roles include Julie Jordan (Carousel) with Moores Opera Center. Maryn holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing graduate studies at the
University of Houston.
