Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families Black Mountain Home seeks to glorify God by caring for children, youth, and families. Learn more at www.BlackMountainHome.org

CONTINUUM OF CARE: We serve children from birth to college age and beyond, including:

- Community-based foster care with an emphasis on children 0-6 years old, including many with special medical needs.

- Campus-based residential care for school age children living in family-style homes on our beautiful 90 acre campus.

-Transitional living and life skills coaching for teens preparing for independent living.

-Independent Living for youth who have earned a high school diploma or GED and are pursuing a addiitonal education, vocational training, or participating in our Apprenticeship Program.

-Lifelong Living Program for youth who need continued support in adulthood due to intellectual and developmental disabilities. SERVICE AREA: Our primary service area is WNC; however, our home is open to any child in NC in need of care. CAMPUS LOCATIONS:
-Main Campus located in Black Mountain, NC, including an on site home, Eller House, for specialized foster care.

-Whitewater Cove campus located in Pisgah Forest, NC which can meet the needs of up to six children in addition.

Today we are celebrating Jessie and her 10 years at Black Mountain Home! 🎉

For more than 10 years, Jessie Ogle has shared her many talents, creativity, and heart with Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families. Throughout the years, she has worn many hats, and she has made a lasting impact in every role she has filled!

From serving as a house parent and working in the office to decorating homes and new buildings on campus, managing the Thrift Store, and now sharing her incredible talents in Culinary Arts, Jessie has always found ways to make things more beautiful and meaningful.

As our talented baker and decorator, Jessie brings creativity and care to everything she makes. But her gifts extend far beyond the kitchen! She is a talented crafter who generously donates much of her handmade jewelry to be sold in the Grove Stone Gallery at our Thrift Store. She also shares her love of plants, generously giving them to others and brightening spaces with her wonderful green thumb.

Through the years, Jessie has participated in many retreats and has built such wonderful connections with our youth. Her ability to relate to them, encourage them, and share her gifts is a beautiful reflection of the heart she brings to her work.

Jessie, thank you for more than a decade of dedication, generosity, creativity, and love for Black Mountain Home. Whether you're baking a beautiful cake, creating something special, nurturing a plant, or connecting with our youth, you make a difference in so many ways.

We are so grateful to have you as part of our Black Mountain Home family! 💙
