Together with our members, we continue to reduce the cost of public risk in North Dakota.

The NDIRF is a not-for-profit organization owned by its members and our goal is to be a stable source of risk services to North Dakota's political subdivisions by providing cost effective liability, automobile and public assets coverage.

🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 NDIRF Announces Property Insurance Appraisal Partnership with Centurisk – To help support members’ property insurance needs, the NDIRF has partnered with Centurisk to provide property insurance appraisals for NDIRF and NDFT members. Over the next four years, the Centurisk team will conduct appraisals throughout the entire state with the Property Insurance Appraisal Project.

The Southwestern Career and Technical Education Academy has become an essential educational resource in jump-starting the careers of high school students throughout southwestern North Dakota. Since the school officially opened in 2022, the academy offers 17 programs to 1,200 students from nine different area high schools.

✏️ NDIRF Now Offers Additional Free Training to Schools (P. 3)
NDIRF K-12 school members can access FREE online training courses for K-12 school staff. Learn more about available online course options and how to implement Vector Solutions training for your employees.

📑 Requirements to Qualify for NDIRF Membership (P. 4)
The NDIRF offers unique coverage options, not found in commercial policies, that are tailored to meet the needs of the members we serve. This article covers the requirements necessary to be a NDIRF member.

🛠️ Introducing the NDIRF Sanitary Sewer Toolkit (P. 5)
Sewer back-ups, manhole failures, lift station issues, and water main breaks can result in costly property damage, service disruptions, and potential liability for local governments. To help our members better manage these risks, the NDIRF has developed the Sanitary Sewer Toolkit and companion documents.

We are celebrating National Public Works Week! 🚧

The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF) proudly supports our North Dakota public works members with liability, auto, and public asset coverage options that protect North Dakota’s political subdivisions. Sufficient coverage is crucial when insurance claims inevitably arise in the public works space.

Recently, the NDIRF introduced the Public Sewer Back-Up and Water Main Break Coverage Endorsement to address the problems that come with the unfortunate events of sewer/water backups. 💦 This endorsement allows governmental entities to assist with cleanup and damage mitigation even when there is no legal liability on the entity’s end. The Bismarck ND City Government is a member that has already added the endorsement to their policy with the NDIRF! 🎉
