Making a Difference Monday! The Jamestown Community Foundation Endowment Fund was happy to help fund the 11th season of BIO Girls (Beautiful Inside and Out) programming in Jamestown.

"Interest & community support continues to be outstanding, with 25 participants & 12 adult volunteers in 2026," reported Betsy Stadick. "In 2026, BIO Girls has lessons on Celebrating our Strengths & Empathy for Others, Anxiety & Coping, Kindness, Healthy Relationships & Cliques, Assertiveness & Self-Worth, Social Cognition, Body Image & Real Beauty, Failure & Perseverance. Some favorite activities include making a Strengths Chain, making Friendship bracelets, watching changes to a selfie photo after going through filters & photo-shop editing & playing Mantra Charades."

All BIO Girls programs dedicate one session of every season to Community Service. In 2026, Jamestown BIO Girls made tie blankets to donate to Buffalo Bridges Social Services for those in need. The girls and their mentors also trained for and completed a 5K..

The program helps reduce anxiety and improve self-esteem in girls and is active in communities across North Dakota.

The Jamestown Community Foundation Endowment Fund is a component fund of the North Dakota Community Foundation.

NDCF President & CEO Steve Lipp was happy to participate in NDANO's Funder's Panel during their annual conference on Thursday. NDCF partners with hundreds of nonprofit organizations across the state to provide services and support projects that improve the quality of life for North Dakota residents.

There were weekly after-school art classes in Kenmare all school year, thanks to a grant from the Kenmare Area Community Foundation. "The project is unique for this part of the state, as many smaller schools do not have an art teacher or access to many forms of art," explained instructor Jane Kalmbach. "Students in grades Kindergarten-8th grade attended. The average weekly class size was 20 students." All forms of the Arts were explored, including painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber arts, food art, and jewelry design. Thank you to our donors for making this grant possible!

Jason has been the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Titan Machinery since 2008 and was elected to serve a three-year term on the NDCF board. Our Director of Communications and Marketing Christi Stonecipher is attending the IABC Great Plains Communicate Stronger conference today in Bismarck! A great opportunity to learn about new technology and trends in the industry, as well as network with other communication professionals. All to help NDCF provide better service to our donors, grantees, and partners!

Making a Difference Monday! The 5th graders at Shiloh Christian School in Bismarck held their annual rummage sale last weekend and decided to donate the funds (more than $2,000!) to the 2026 Alberta Heights Fire Relief Fund to help those who lost everything. What great community service - thank you to these awesome kids!

If you would like to donate to this fund and help those families impacted by the fire, click on the link below to make a secure online donation. NDCF has waived its fees for the management of this fund so that 100% of donated funds can go to the victims of the disaster. (Credit card processing fees still apply.)
