🎒 Back-to-School Season Is Here! 📚

A new school year means new beginnings, new challenges, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities to grow.

At Destination Elevation, we know that every young person deserves someone in their corner—someone who believes in them, encourages them, listens to them, and reminds them that their circumstances don’t define their future.

As kids head back to school, let’s remember that success isn’t always measured by grades. Sometimes it looks like showing up, trying again, asking for help, making a good choice, or simply having someone who says, “I believe in you.”

Here’s to a new school year filled with growth, grit, confidence, and possibility. 💪

💙 A simple act of kindness can change someone's day—or even their life.

You never know what someone is carrying behind a smile. A kind word, a text, a phone call, or simply asking, "How are you really doing?" can remind someone they are seen, valued, and not alone.

This week, challenge yourself to reach out to someone. Check on a friend. Encourage a coworker. Smile at a stranger. Offer a helping hand. Listen without judgment. Small acts of kindness create ripples that extend far beyond what we can see.

At Destination Elevation, we believe strong communities are built one relationship at a time. Let's choose compassion over criticism, encouragement over indifference, and love over fear.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.

After a recent Love-Fear Shift class, participants were invited to share what they took away from the experience.

Here are just a few of the things they wrote:
• "You gave me so much perspective and opened my eyes."
• "I can't keep holding on to my old ways."
• "I have an action plan now."
• "It made me reevaluate myself, my actions, and my beliefs."
• "Understanding all the noise in my life."
• "I'm sober and feel stronger with the help of Destination Elevation."
• "It opened my eyes to things I never thought about."

Transformation doesn't always happen overnight. Sometimes it starts with one conversation, one class, or one new perspective.

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the communities that make us stronger, and the people who invest in the next generation.

At Destination Elevation, we believe that one caring mentor, one encouraging conversation, and one opportunity can change the course of a life. Thank you to our mentors, volunteers, donors, and supporters for helping us build brighter futures for youth and families in our community.

As you enjoy fireworks, parades, and time with family and friends, we hope your day is filled with gratitude, joy, and lasting memories.

What an incredible day at the Touch A Truck event in Mandan! 🚛💙

We loved getting the chance to connect with so many amazing families, kids, and community members today. Seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces and spending time together reminded us just how special this community truly is.

A huge THANK YOU to Barnhart for allowing Destination Elevation to set up with them today and for supporting community connection in such a meaningful way. We are so grateful for the opportunity!
