Tonight’s Mandan Planning and Zoning meeting makes one thing clear: our voices need to be heard right now.

Between the proposal in Mandan, other massive projects pushing across North Dakota and the upcoming legislative special session before the 2027 session begins, local leaders and state lawmakers are making decisions that will impact our communities for decades. We cannot afford to sit back and let our land, power grid and water get signed away behind closed doors.

We are demanding four straightforward safeguards:

*A one year moratorium on AI data centers across the state

*Strict size limits and noise setbacks in future zoning regulations

*Mandatory on site power generation and latest generation water recycling technology

*A complete ban on public officials signing Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

🚨 BREAKING: Another premium health brand swallowed by Big Consumer Goods. P&G just sealed a $3.8 billion deal for Thorne Research.

Thorne, the gold-standard, science-backed supplement company trusted by practitioners for purity, potency, and rigorous testing, is now headed into the same portfolio as Metamucil.

Let’s be clear: this is a terrible move for anyone who values actual quality over mass-market convenience.

P&G’s existing “health” lineup includes products like Metamucil, perfectly fine fiber for the average shopper but a far cry from Thorne’s pharmaceutical-grade standards, third-party testing, and practitioner-first ethos.

The cultural mismatch is glaring.

And maddening.

A company built on toxic detergent, diapers, and everyday consumer staples simply does not share the uncompromising health values that made Thorne elite.

We’ve seen this movie many times before:

• Nestlé acquired Garden of Life.

• General Mills acquired Annie’s Organics.

• Flowers Foods acquired Dave’s Killer Bread.

• Mondelēz acquired Clif Bar.

• Kellogg’s acquired Kashi.

• Unilever acquired Liquid I.V.

Time and again, independent brands with integrity get absorbed by giants whose primary mandate is scale, margins, and quarterly earnings, not the meticulous quality and mission that built those brands in the first place.

History shows dilution, reformulation pressures, and a quiet erosion of what made them special often follow.

P&G does not have the DNA to steward a brand like Thorne.

This acquisition prioritizes market share in the booming wellness space over protecting the very standards that earned consumer and clinician trust.

For patients, practitioners, and anyone who relies on truly high-quality supplements, this should set off alarms.

The premium wellness space just got a lot more corporate.

🚨 A $20 BILLION AI DATA CENTER PROJECT HAS BEEN PULLED IN NORTH CAROLINA

A massive AI data center proposal in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, has been withdrawn as local officials consider a 24-month moratorium on new data center developments. The project, proposed by Energy Storage Solutions, was estimated to cost $20 billion and was planned for the Kingsboro development area near Tarboro.

The multi-phase facility was expected to begin with a 300-megawatt capacity, with plans potentially expanding the campus to around 900 megawatts across nearly 300 acres. The withdrawal came as county leaders debated whether to temporarily pause new data center projects while reviewing their impacts.

The decision reflects a growing national debate over AI infrastructure expansion and concerns about electricity demand, water usage, land consumption, noise, and pressure on local resources. Supporters highlight economic growth and investment, while critics question the long-term effects on communities.

If 93 year old Willie Nelson can use his voice, you can, too! 💥

Willie Nelson is fighting for the little town he grew up in, and he is 93 years old.

Nelson posted an open letter about the data centers headed for Abbott, Texas, a farming town of fewer than 400 people about 24 miles north of Waco. He still keeps a home there with farmed land, and he wrote that he can still see stars at night.

The Texas Tribune reports as many as 56 data centers have been proposed across Central Texas.

This is nothing new for him. Nelson co-founded Farm Aid, which passed 40 years in 2025 and has raised more than $70 million for family farmers.

He has been standing in this same spot his whole life.
