Have you been exploring a new intervention, working on an innovative program, researching a complex issue, or learning something in your practice that other social workers need to know about?

We want to hear from you.

NASW-MN&ND are seeking presenters for our 2027 Winter Virtual Conference: Winter’s Brightest Ideas, happening online via Zoom on February 5, 12 & 19, 2027.

We’re looking for presentations that offer advanced knowledge, practical skill-building, fresh perspectives, and ideas social workers can take back to their practice. Our audience is primarily master’s-level and seasoned practitioners, so we’re looking beyond introductory content.

We’re interested in ideas from every stage and facet of social work practice—micro, mezzo, and macro; engagement through termination; across settings, populations, and areas of practice.

Content areas include:

✨ Beyond Bright
🔬 Cutting-Edge
🧠 Advanced Clinical
🏛️ Macro Practice, Policy & Leadership
🌎 Generalist
⚖️ Ethics
👥 Supervision
🤝 Cultural Responsiveness

Have new data, insights, ideas, or recommendations to share? Submit a proposal!

📅 Priority proposal deadline: September 30, 2026

Whether you’re a seasoned presenter or looking to expand your experience, this is an opportunity to share your expertise with social workers across Minnesota, North Dakota and beyond.

URGENT: Support social workers in Guam and the Mariana Islands

Social workers in Guam and the Mariana Islands are facing devastating conditions following Typhoon Bavi. Many are working to support their communities while also going without electricity, clean water, and other essential supplies themselves.

The NASW Foundation has activated its Social Work Disaster Assistance Fund to provide immediate relief, including assistance with utility and water restoration and essential supplies such as water purification tablets and LifeStraws.

The need is urgent, and current resources are not enough to meet it.

You can help:

📣 Share this post with your colleagues, members, and networks to help reach more potential donors.

Social workers show up for their communities every day. Right now, our profession needs to show up for them.
