We are NOT a service program and are ran by ALL volunteers with NO paid staff. Our organization is made up of ALL VOLUNTEERS with NO PAID POSITIONS.

The MT Veterans Meat Locker hosts monthly events (if meat supply allows) that gives out FREE professionally processed meat to Veterans as a GRATITUDE for SERVICE. This was made possible due to the great hunters and ranchers in Montana. The wild game and domestic animals are taken to processors throughout Montana. We raise money to pay for the processing and pick up the meat from the processors once finished. The meat is stored frozen and distributed to Veterans at meat giveaways or on a as need basis. This is a THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and NOT a handout. We strongly encourage all Veterans please come and receive this gift. The Veterans must be able to provide valid proof (VA card, DD214, any other valid form) of being a veteran, once proof is displayed, we furnish the veteran with an amply amount of meat, free of charge, to sustain him or her for a couple weeks.

*** Successful Giveaway ***
Over 4000 lbs of Meat
We are so incredibly proud of another great giveaway in Belgrade this past weekend with over 280 bags and birds given out. We had the honor of bringing back all the donated birds, market pigs, and lamb from the Gallatin County 4-H Livestock Sale to give out to the great Veterans at the Giveaway. We want to thank the amazing Gallatin County 4-H Poultry Project kids and parents for all their help with the giveaway. Along with the hardworking club members from the SCI - Southwest Montana Chapter, and our newest volunteer and family favorite Elijah Hill, you all are so amazing and made the giveaway such a big success. Thank you all.

**** Pie for a Year ****
Thank you Montana Pie Company for your amazing support and donation to our very successful BINGO fundraiser. They donated a silent auction gift of homemade pie for a year for one lucky winner. The auction item was very popular and lots of bidding was going on for sure. We loved their pies so much that we bought a second pie for a year from them and additional pies for door prizes to take home for the lucky winners. Thank you again for the support and making such a great product that everyone in the community can enjoy. Please check them out and try one of their delicious take and bake pies, the Montana Pie Company.

*** Bingo Success ***
$18,505
What a great Bingo Fundraiser, WOW!!
We had an amazing turnout of over 300 people for the Bingo event at the Rhoadeside Event Center. We are so sorry we had to turn people away at the door for the completely full house event. All 10 rounds of Bingo yielded $800 cash pots for the winners and man were they fun. Such an amazing crowd of people that made it an incredible success. We raffled off 15 total guns and many other prizes. The total money raised was $18,505 for the evening. Huge Success and so much fun. We cannot thank everyone enough that came and packed the house. Thank you to the amazing crew at the Rhoadeside Event Center and of course all of our awesome volunteers that made it run so smoothly. This is a great event and the monies raised with help pay the processing fees for the meat we so proudly provided to Veterans and their families in Montana. Thank you all again so much!!!

We are so very blessed to be featured in this awesome magazine article. Cyd & Stu do such a great job with their magazine and it was an honor to be considered and interviewed. Thank you to those of you that pointed them in our direction and being a part of the interview. We love getting our story out and sharing all the amazing work our community does for our Veterans and their families.

When the door of the cargo trailer opened, the line of waiting Veterans moved quickly. Filled with several thousand pounds of frozen meat, the trailer emptied rapidly as each person gratefully accepted a canvas bag filled with 15 pounds of frozen meat.
