Today, Sweet Grass Technical Institute joins people across the country and around the world in mourning the passing of Dolly Parton. ❤️🕊️

As we remember her life, we also celebrate a remarkable woman who showed what it means to use success to create opportunities for others.

Dolly spent decades investing in children, education, literacy, and communities, reminding us that where someone comes from does not determine how far they can go.

That message means a great deal to us at Sweet Grass Technical Institute.

Every young person deserves someone who believes in their potential, gives them an opportunity to learn, and encourages them to dream bigger than their circumstances. Whether that opportunity comes through a book, a classroom, a welding booth, an automotive shop, or simply an adult willing to say, “I believe you can do this,” — it can change the direction of a young person's life.

Dolly Parton's legacy reminds us that true success isn't only measured by what we accomplish for ourselves, but by what we make possible for others.

Today, we are saddened by her passing, but incredibly grateful for the life she lived and the generations of children and families who have been touched by her generosity.

From all of us at Sweet Grass Technical Institute — thank you, Dolly, for believing in kids, education, dreams, and the power of opportunity. Your legacy will live on. ❤️

Sweet Grass Technical Institute is enrolling students for the 2026–2027 program year!
Students interested in learning real-world, hands-on technical skills are invited to come meet our instructors, tour the shop, learn about our programs, and get enrolled.

HANDS-ON PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

🔧 AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Learn real-world automotive repair, diagnostics, maintenance, tools, and shop skills.

🏁 SGT RACING PROGRAM
Get hands-on experience working with our Late Model Dirt Race Car — from setup and maintenance to learning what it takes to prepare a race car for competition.

🔥 WELDING & FABRICATION
Develop practical welding, fabrication, and metalworking skills through hands-on projects.

🛠️ CONSTRUCTION & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Learn by doing while developing skills that can lead to future careers and apprenticeships.

🌅 A New Week Is About to Begin at Sweet Grass Tech! 💙🖤

As we wind down this smoky Sunday evening and get ready to start a brand-new week, we want to take a moment to remind our community about an incredible opportunity right here at Sweet Grass Technical Institute!

If you have a middle or high school student who enjoys hands-on learning, building, creating, fixing, and trying new things, we would love for you to take a closer look at Sweet Grass Tech. Our programs are designed specifically for school-aged students, and there is no cost to attend.

🏎️ Our Race Car Program gives students the opportunity to learn, work as a team, and put their skills to the test.

🔧 We also offer GM online training that can lead to real-world certifications with GM dealers.

📚 Sweet Grass Tech is also a registered pre-apprenticeship with the State of Montana, giving students another valuable opportunity to learn and grow.

One thing that makes Sweet Grass Tech truly special is that we operate solely through donations and grants. ❤️ Our programs exist because of the generosity of people, businesses, organizations, and community members who believe in giving students hands-on opportunities.
