LABOR DAY PARADE

We have a spot near the front in the Labor Day parade, so bring your family and join your fellow Brothers and Sisters as we celebrate Labor Day, which recognizes something that we are all part of-The Labor Movement!! T-shirts will be provided for those that participate in the parade.

If you would like to join us on September 7th, the line-up starts at 9:00 a.m. in John Deere Harvester Works parking lot at 1100 13th Avenue in East Moline. Plan to show up around 10:00am. The parade will begin to roll out at 11:00 am. If you have any questions, please contact the hall at (563)355-1181.

The Union Golf Tournament is still scheduled to take place tomorrow starting at 8:30. Any decisions due to weather will be made in the morning at the Golf Course.

Alight continues to have problems uploading pay stubs online. They are still working on the issue. This should not impact the check from being deposited.

Erwin King stopped by the hall yesterday for a check presentation. His charity Soles for Children helped 700 kids in need last year. This year he is looking at helping even more kids. Thank you to Erwin for stopping and for helping kids in our community.

Call off reporting update.

Call off prompts if you are reporting an absence by phone (pictured below). We now have 7 days to change or correct a call off, this was part of the 2026 local Issues. Calls will be reported as eastern time until the Telus tech team can find a solution. Continue to enter your call offs according to central time.

If you are having issues reporting an absence, please report them to the Customer Care line at 888-674-3652, available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Also, let your Union rep know of any issues you are having.

We have noticed that when entering your birthdate on the website you must enter it 08-13-1983, the website will not except 08/13/1983.

The International and Arconic have come to an agreement regarding the new vacation bands. We will be working locally on the details and implementation of the agreement. More details to come soon.

We have been made aware of issues with the new call off system. We contacted the Company and they are looking into the issue.
