The BEST family is saddened by the passing of our dear friend and MLB legend Tommy John (New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher).

Tommy was a kind man who joined us whenever he could for our Celebrity Weekend - he would come out early and stay several days afterward. He loved meeting our students and listening to their stories and, often, he would reflect on his own life experiences, providing advice to our students as they prepared for their own journeys ahead. He will be sorely missed by the baseball community and all of us at BEST.

It was an honor to be around Sandy Koufax during induction weekend up in Cooperstown.

The 90 year old legendary Pitcher was social and fun to be around.

C C and Joe Torre connected with Sandy to spend time together and had to have great conversation.
