Founded by Ron and Jeane Titus in 2007, this former CNJ Railroad switch tower has undergone extensive exterior and interior restoration. The goal of this project is to preserve and interpret the building’s original purpose, allowing the public to experience how the tower functioned many years ago. ards used to demonstrate how the tower once controlled rail traffic. In 2021, a new group of volunteers reorganized the effort as a nonprofit organization. This group continues restoration and preservation work, operates a live railcam on YouTube, and hosts an annual holiday toy drive in partnership with the town and local emergency services. The tower is open to the public on select dates, typically during town-sponsored events. Group tours, school visits, and private tours may be scheduled by contacting us in advance. This page is dedicated to sharing updates and progress on the tower’s ongoing restoration and preservation efforts. The project is run entirely by volunteers. This organization is not affiliated with the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians or the owners of Union Station.
