It's time for some overdo reflection and giving THANKS for this great community-driven capability we're developing here in Bethel:
Over the past several weeks the wood bank has gotten generous log donations from landowners Casper and Jean, and (again this year) from Paper. Individuals and the forest products industry are critical to this supply chain. Donated logs fuel our wood bank engine...
Local businesses like Contracting and Maine have recently lent their equipment assets, expertise and individual efforts to our cause. This type of in-kind contribution from the business community is a true force multiplier for the nonprofit business model and for our modest (but mighty) volunteer team, adding speed, safety and efficiency to our process...
Then, there are the multiple unsung individuals as well as groups like the men of Chris's Haven of Hope who step in and step up to help the Bethel Wood Bank supply supplemental firewood to neighbors in households battling high energy burdens and facing heat insecurity. It's great people who keep the wheels turning on this vital resource...
THANKS TO YOU ALL! Your contributions are valued and appreciated. Everyone should be proud about the goodness you've helped to create for our community.
