ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ), alongside the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), announced the launch of SJ Connects, a free regional shuttle service operating across Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties.

The new transit pilot provides residents with free, ADA-compliant transportation to employment centers, educational campuses, healthcare facilities, and NJ TRANSIT hubs.

The SJ Connects Initiative at a Glance
Program Type: Free, 18 to 24-month pilot program.
Funding: Backed by a $5 million commitment from NJ TRANSIT to fund the bus fleet, driver salaries, and infrastructure.
Counties Served: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem.
Destinations: Connects the regional "Eds and Meds" corridor, retail destinations, and workforce training opportunities
