Thank you to everyone who was in attendance yesterday for our veterans luncheon. Special thanks to Our Lady of Mount Carmel for the students and staff who put on a special concert for our veterans. We were so honored to have not just our veterans but all veterans to say thank Berlin Borough, NJ service to our nation

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States has announced the details of its 2025-2026 Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen audio essay competitions. This year’s shared theme is “How Are You Showing Patriotism and Support for Our Country?”

Entries are due to VFW Posts no later than October 31, 2025 - which is less than six weeks from today!

The VFW Voice of Democracy National first-place winner will receive a $35,000 scholarship; this contest is for students in grades 9-12. The VFW Patriot’s Pen National first-place winner will receive $5,000; this contest is for students in grades 6-8.

Be sure to catch our membership out this weekend at shop rite of Berlin and canal’s.We will be distributing poppies as our post has done for many years. Any support you can give is appreciated for those service members who can’t support themselves. We owe them everything
